U.S. Ambassador gives opening remarks at IIJ workshop

U.S. Ambassador to Malta G. Kathleen Hill gave opening remarks on December 5, 2017, at a workshop sponsored by the US and co-hosted by the US and Tanzania focused on strengthening international cooperation among countries investigating terrorism and transnational crimes.

This Horn of Africa workshop is the third in a series of regional workshops, and brings together senior practitioners from Central Authorities serving Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malta, Nigeria and Tanzania.  The International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law (IIJ), based in Malta, hosted the workshop in Valletta, and Malta’s Attorney General, Peter Grech, also gave opening remarks.
