U.S. Embassy volunteers and staffers met with approximately 200 students and educators in Malta at the beginning of the 2017/2018 school year. We traveled to two schools in Malta, and four groups visited our Embassy’s facilities.
Students learned about life and work in Malta as U.S. diplomats, human rights, and how the U.S. Embassy earned its “Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design” Silver Certification. We also met with a group of college students with learning difficulties, who spoke with our Management Officer about the Embassy’s office environment. We continued this outreach with a visit to a center for students with disabilities, who enjoyed a presentation on NASA. Each school received books donated to their libraries on behalf of the U.S. Embassy.
We are look forward to meeting with more students and teachers in 2018!
