U.S. Embassy meets four schools in January 2017

Volunteers from the U.S. Embassy met with students from four schools in January 2017, as part of the U.S. Embassy’s ongoing school outreach program

Students from Stella Maris and St. Thomas More Secondary Schools visited the U.S. Embassy and enjoyed tours around the grounds.  An Embassy Staffer also visited Qormi San Ġorġ Primary School.   All three activities involved presentations on space science, exploration and NASA.  At Xewkija Primary School in Gozo, students enjoyed playing and learning about sports popular in the United States and the importance of being healthy and active.

Each school received a selection of books donated to the schools’ libraries on behalf of the U.S. Embassy.

The U.S. Embassy’s ongoing school outreach program reaches hundreds of students a year, and supports educational programming and promotes literacy.  Want to learn more about the program?  Please contact us on USEmbMalta@state.gov.
